HOOBASTANK - THE LETTER.

HOOBASTANK es una banda de Rock estadounidense que fundada en 1994 en Augura Hills, California. Sus miembros son: Doug Robb (voz, segunda guitarra), Dan Estrin (primera guitarra), Chris Hesse (batería) y Jesse Charland (bajo). Su estilo musical es una mezcla de Post-Grunge y Rock Alternativo. Lanzaron su primer álbum en 1998 bajo el nombre de “They Sure Don’t Make Basketball Shorts Like They Used To” el cual tuvo cierto éxito gracias a su difusión en internet. En 2001 lanzan su segundo trabajo discográfico titulado “Hoobastank” bajo el sello Island Records, obteniendo un disco de platino en Estados Unidos al vender más de 1 millón de copias. En 2003 vuelven con “The Reason”, gracias a este disco obtienen fama mundial posicionando su sencillo homónimo en el puesto #5 del Hot 100 de Billboard. Su cuarto álbum de estudio sale a la venta en mayo de 2006 bajo el nombre de “Every Man For Himself”, del cual se extrajeron los sencillos: “Born To Dead”, “If I Were You” e “Inside Of You”. El grupo ha colaborado con bandas sonoras de películas como “Spider-Man 2”, “Daredevil”, “El Tesoro del Amazonas” y “Transformers 2: La Venganza de los Caídos”. 

THE LETTER:

Es el tercer sencillo del álbum “The Reason” de la banda californiana Hoobastank. Fue lanzado 27 de enero de 2009 en Estados Unidos, y el 26 de junio del mismo año en Australia. Fue escrita por Doug Robb, Chris Hesse, Daniel Estrin, y es interpretada por los miembros de la banda junto a la cantante Vanessa Amorosi. La canción tiene una duración de 4:00 minutos, y existe una versión alternativa con la letrista y actriz japonesa Anna Tsuchiya.
