NIRVANA - SMELLS LIKE TEEN SPIRIT.

NIRVANA fue una banda de grunge procedente de Aberdeen, Washington. Estaba integrada por Kurt Cobain (voz, guitarra solista, batería), Krist Novoselic (bajo, guitarra, acordeón) y Dave Grohl (segunda voz, batería, bajo). Lanzaron su álbum debut “Bleach” en el año 1989, el cual tenía influencias de diversos grupos como The Melvis, Black Sabbath, Led Zeppelin, etc. Obtuvieron su mayor éxito comercial en el año 1991 gracias a su  segundo trabajo discográfico titulado “Nevermind”, del cual se destacaron las canciones “Smells Like Teen Spirit”, “In Bloom”, “Breed”, “Come As You Are”, “Lithium”, etc. Su último álbum de estudio fue lanzado en el año 1993 bajo el nombre de “In Utero”. El mismo obtuvo una gran repercusión debutando en el puesto Nº1 del ránking Billboard, a su vez también enfrentó diversas críticas negativas tanto por algunas canciones (ejemplo “Rape Me”) como por la contraportada en la que aparece un collage de fetos plásticos. La banda se disolvió luego de la muerte del vocalista Kurt Cobain, que fue encontrado sin vida el 8 de abril de 1994 en su casa en Seattle. 

SMELLS LIKE TEEN SPIRIT:

Es el primer sencillo del álbum “Nevermind” de la banda Nirvana. Fue escrito por los miembros del grupo, y su lanzamiento se hizo el 10 de setiembre de 1991 en formato CD y disco de vinilo. MY CHEMICAL ROMANCE es una banda estadounidense formada en 2001, su estilo musical abarca desde pop punk, rock emo, punk, rock, post-hardcore, etc. Los integrantes son: Gerard Way (voz), Ray Toro (primera guitarra, coro), Mikey Way (bajo), Frank Lero (guitarra rítmica, coro). Cuentan con cuatro trabajos discográficos hasta la fecha. El primero llamado “I brought you my bullets, you brought me your love”, un disco oscuro, siniestro, agresivo...que al final no tuvo gran repercusión.
