KATY PERRY es una cantante, compositora, guitarrista y actriz nacida el 25 de octubre de 1984 en Santa Bárbara, California. Su primer éxito discográfico vino con el álbum “One of the Boys” con su primer sencillo titulado “I kissed a girl”, fue todo un éxito durando siete semanas en la posición #1 en el ranking Hot100 de Billboard, en el video se puede ver también a la cantante Kesha como extra. Su mayor éxito ha sido sin dudas el segundo álbum titulado “Teenage Dream”, el cual la ha convertido en la novena cantante con más discos vendidos en 2011. A principios de 2012 fue lanzada una re-edición del mismo titulada "Teenage Dream: The Complete Confection", destacando a "Part Of Me" como primer sencillo promocional, el cual también debutó en la posición #1.

Es el quinto sencillo del album “Teenage Dream” de la cantante Katy Perry. Fue escrito por Lukasz Gottwald, Max Martin, Bonnie McKee y la misma Katy Perry. El tema habla sobre despertarse al otro día de una noche alocada con amigos, y no recordar mucho, pero querer repetir la experiencia. Tiene una duración de 3:51 minutos (versión del álbum). Las siglas T.G.I.F. significan “thank god it´s Friday” (gracias  a Dios es viernes).
