MY CHEMICAL ROMANCE - DISENCHANTED.

MY CHEMICAL ROMANCE es una banda estadounidense formada en 2001, su estilo musical abarca desde pop punk, rock emo, punk, rock, post-hardcore, etc. Los integrantes son: Gerard Way (voz), Ray Toro (primera guitarra, coro), Mikey Way (bajo), Frank Lero (guitarra rítmica, coro). Cuentan con cuatro trabajos discográficos hasta la fecha. El primero llamado “I brought you my bullets, you brought me your love”, un disco oscuro, siniestro, agresivo...que al final no tuvo gran repercusión. Su segundo álbum titulado “Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge” fue publicado el 8 de junio de 2004, fue todo un éxito comercial. El video del sencillo “Helena” extraído de este disco fue uno de los más pedidos en el ranking anual de MTV. Su tercer trabajo vino bajo el nombre de “The Black Parade” el 23 de octubre de 2006, un disco más teatral y más enriquecido musicalmente que los anteriores. El 19 de noviembre de 2010 fue lanzado su cuarto disco titulado “Danger Days: the true Lives of the Fabulous Killjoys”, con un estilo rock, pop, con mezclas sintetizadas.

DISENCHANTED:

Es el duodécimo tema del álbum “The Black Parade” del grupo My Chemical Romance, fue publicado el 24 de octubre de 2006. La letra habla de un paciente moribundo en sus últimos días de vida en un hospital, en donde recuerda momentos de su vida desperdiciada. Aunque rescata su infancia como su mejor época. La canción tiene una duración de 4:54 minutos y no es muy común escucharla en vivo, ya que a los integrantes de la banda no les gusta interpretarla por su contenido melancólico.
