FUN - WE ARE YOUNG.

FUN es una banda estadounidense del género Indie Pop, fundada en Nueva York luego de la desintegración de "The Format" en 2008. Sus integrantes son: Nate Ruess (voz principal), Andrew Dost (coro, piano, guitarra, bajo, sintetizador, trompeta, etc) y Jack Antonoff (guitarra, trompeta). Han lanzado dos álbumes de estudio, el primero fue lanzado el 25 de agosto de 2009 bajo el nombre de “Aim and Ignite”, obtuvo buenas críticas logrando la posición #3 en el ranking US Tastemasker Albums de Billboard.

Su segundo disco salió a la venta el 21 de febrero de 2012 titulado “Some Nights”, fue co-producido por el rapero Kanye West y cuenta con 10 canciones. El mismo debutó en el puesto #3 de Billboard 200 con más de 70.000 copias vendidas en su primera semana.

WE ARE YOUNG:

Es el primer sencillo del segundo álbum de la banda americana FUN. Fue escrito por Nate Ruess, Andrew Dost, Jack Antonoff, Matthias Bell y Samuel Means. Su lanzamiento se hizo el 20 de septiembre de 2011 y rápidamente llegó al puesto #1 del Billboard Hot 100. La canción cuenta con la participación de Janelle Monáe y tiene una duración de 4:10 minutos. Existe una versión de esta canción interpretada por el elenco de la serie televisiva Glee.
