4 NON BLONDES - WHAT'S UP.

4 NON BLONDES fue un grupo estadounidense de Pop Rock de los años 90, originado en San Francisco, California. Sus integrantes eran: Linda Perry (voz, guitarra), Roger Rocha (guitarra), Christa Hillhouse (bajo) y Dawn Richardson (batería).

Si bien la banda llegó a lanzar un solo álbum de estudio y otro en vivo, hasta el día de hoy es muy recordada gracias al sencillo “What´s Up”.

El álbum debut de la banda titulado “Bigger, Better, Faster , More” (1992) alcanzó la posición Nº#14 del ranking Billboard Hot100, en 1994 lanzaron un disco en vivo grabado en Italia titulado “Dear Mr. President”, el cual no tuvo demasiada repercusión a nivel comercial. Luego de la separación del grupo, la vocalista Linda Perry se dedicó a trabajar mayoritariamente como compositora para cantantes como: Christina Aguilera, Pink, Celine Dion.

WHAT’S UP:

Es el segundo sencillo del álbum “Bigger, Better, Faster, More” de la banda californiana 4 NON BLONDES, lanzado el 23 de junio de 1993. Fue escrito por Linda Perry, la versión single tiene una duración de 4:15 y la del álbum es de 4:55 minutos. Es una canción de género Rock Alternativo y es considerada la más exitosa del álbum debut. En 1994 Dj Miko hizo una versión remixada y la canción alcanzó la posición 6 en Reino Unido.
